12월 24일 토요일 크리스마스 이브, 유니버시티 시티의 한 가정집에서 대형 화재가 발생했다.
화재는 베어링 스트리트(Baring street)와 37번가 부근에서 발생했으며, 소방관은 저녁 5시 40분경 현장에 출동해 화재를 진압 중이다. 현재 화재가 발생한 거리는 모두 경찰이 통제하고 있다.
6시 12분 현재에도 여전히 불길은 잡히지 않은 상태이며, 거리는 연기로 가득차 앞을 보기가 힘든 정도의 수준이다.
